Fragile Items Packing Guide: Glassware, Art, Antiques
Professional packing techniques for high-value fragile items. Insurance documentation, custom crating, white-glove handling.
Pack fragile items using 3-step process: inner protection (acid-free tissue, foam wrap), middle layer (3 layers bubble wrap), outer carton (double-walled, max 30 lbs). Glass items wrap individually with crumpled paper between. Dishes pack vertically (LP-record style), not stacked. Label all 6 sides 'FRAGILE — THIS SIDE UP'. Specialty items (artwork, instruments) need custom crates costing ₹500-3,000 extra.
- 3-layer system: tissue → bubble wrap → double-walled carton
- Dishes vertical (LP-record style): reduces breakage 80%
- Glass: individual wrap + crumpled paper between
- Custom crates for artwork/instruments: ₹500-3,000 extra
